CIO method while teething how to deal

Hi,

I’m stressed out! I have tried all the methods and as last resort am now at CIO. We have been on it for almost two months yet he is still crying every time we put him down some days less then others progress from the first week but still he cries. I doubt if what I am doing is the best way even though I’ve researched and I tried all other methods. Now he is almost 9 months and his two top teeth are coming in and his crying has gotten worse. I’m not sure if I should be rocking him to help soothe him and destroy all my hard work or just keep on? Anyone been through this internal and external struggle of if ur doing the right thing or u denying ur child of comfort?
