Thoughts on posting video/pics of your kid in a group setting?

Just curious what folks thing about posting group things with several kids including your own. Like a dance or play. I think if it's your kid, you get to post what you want but what about the other Kids? Seems like a gray area to me :S

Yea, if it’s a group of kids or there are kids in the background of a photo I’m taking of my kid..... I’m NOT about to go get permission to post the photo.... I’m posting it.

If my child has a school play and I want pictures, I’ll take them & I don’t see the big deal. Now, if you’re at the park and someone takes pictures of your kid or you take pictures of just theirs, now that’s an issue.

No not without consent! Don't be one of those people it's obviously not okay, you don't the background history of those children and it's not okay for their pictures to end up online. This is selfish.

I would be furious if someone posted a photo of my child without my knowledge! DO NOT DO THAT.

You don't post pictures of other people's kids without their consent that's just NOT okay at all.  With consent its fine.

If the main focus is my child and there happens to be kids running around in the background, then no, I won’t bother to censor their faces. 
If it was a formal photo, example a school picture, or a photo were the main focus is my child with another, I will seek permission, or crop the other kids out if possible. If not then I just wont post it

I think it should be pretty common knowledge to know that's not okay.  Always get consent first!

...what's wrong with it? I could type in anyone's kids name on google and probably get 30+ images of their kids back. Not only that, but what would be the harm in it? 
Now if you're posting pictures of just a random group of kids, you're weird.
