Potty Training?

Question

I think my daughter is ready to start potty training, she tells me every time she goes in her diaper and she bring me her wipes so that I can change her. so I got a little potty to start introducing it to her but anytime I put her on the potty she just cries. Anyone at the potty training stage yet, any tips to keep her on the potty long enough to actually use it?

I started using as more of a ‘seat’ so every 30-40 mins I sat her on it and we carried on playing with something so her hands and mind were occupied on something else and if she did do a wee when she sat on it I made a real big deal and reward her with one chocolate button 
Now she sits on it herself or if I ask her and she will do a wee, the poo on the other hand is abit harder and I have to catch her as she starts squeezing 🙈 but she lets me sit her on the potty and she does finish it on there 
Just persisting and rewarding I found worked for us

if she's crying she probably isn't ready. I'd wait a bit longer. she will probably be ready early by the sounds of it, but it's still very early even for toddlers who are able to start early.

my son loves to brush his teeth so I let him hold his toothbrush while on the potty it keeps him occupied long enough that he isn't standing up every second. I found it really helpful to sit him on the potty everytime I went to the bathroom so he sees me doing it and gets used to it. also STICKERS! my son loves his Dino stickers he gets for going potty like a big boy.

We do potty every now get before bath so she likes it and now starting to introduce it during the day.

I use the seat that goes on the toilet because I just wouldn’t be able to use a kid potty that’s gross to me 😷 but anyway when I see him pushing trying to go poop I tell him run let’s go sit on the potty and he run and we sit down I start telling him okay let’s count 1-2-3 and he pushes and goes poop every time I catch him trying to go he loves flushing so I think that helps him...just keep trying maybe the real potty will be better get a small seat for the toilet seat good luck momma

My LO is 17 months old, he too is telling us when he poops. 
I got a potty, a book, big boy underwear. Now all I gotta do is put it all into motion 😉
