Early C Section???!!!

Question

So my doctor told me she wants me to have my baby via C section at 37 weeks, but my husband and I are nervous about it. Will the baby be ok, are there any risks to him? I’ve had four C sections already but at 38-39 weeks. We’ve been told that at 37 weeks the baby is considered full term but we’re just scared something could be wrong? 😟

I had my son at 38wks due to preeclampsia that popped up randomly and he was a perfect 8lbs 6oz 20.75inches! He had no issues and we were discharged after 2 days! This is him at 2 months! Good luck mama!! Cherish every second!!

my twins are due at 37 weeks. and that is scary, I'm 29 weeks right now and both babies are 2 and a half pounds each just really hoping they make it to 5lbs

At 35 weeks my BP stopped being controllable. My specialist wanted my twins to come out the next day but my regular OB felt better waiting a week and then taking them by c-section. So at 36 weeks they came out perfectly healthy at 5.4 and 5.1lbs! 36 weeks on you are usually ok on delivering babies without having to worry about NICU time.

I had preeclampsia last minute at 36wks so dr kept me in the hospital and started inducing me the day before I turned 37wks but nothing was working. They tried breaking my water and nothing so they decided on the c section the morning I turned 37wks. I had my baby girl at 1:12pm weighing 5.5lbs she was teenie but healthy and ready. I thought it was too early but everyone that I told said “oh ok so she was full term already, that’s good.” I considered her a preemie especially because that’s all she fit into lol but 37wks is safe. It all depends on the dr and her/his reasoning for an earlier c section but based on whether the baby is full term or not don’t let that scare or stress you out.
