Is 9dpo still too early?

Hey ladies, So I'm currently 9dpo, yesterday and the day before I had what I believed to be implantation bleeding. It was very very light only there when I wiped and brownish in color, and today no bleeding at all. My periods are usually pretty heavy, the spotting is very out of the ordinary for me. I took a test this morning and got a bfn. Am I testing too early or am I completely crazy and it's just not my time?? I know implantation bleeding is rare.
