Thoughts on MiniCribs???

Has anyone here used a mini crib? Pros and cons??

I bought a mini crib/changing table combo with my first because we were really tight on space.  We plan on using it again when our second gets here, even though we have more room now. I love it. I like how much space it saves, considering how big a standard crib and changing table can be. They look nice as well. Only downside of having one that I can think of is that it’s hard to find crib sets, sheets, mattresses and changing table pads for them. Mine came with thin pads for both the crib and changing table, but of course you have to put something on top of them. Walmart has a few different mattresses. I believe mine is a dream on me 5” mattress. You could probably also find them on Amazon, and if you look around more I’m sure other places have them. Still have yet to find a changing pad to fit my changing table though. So we made our own from upholstery foam, 3”-4” thick and cut it down to size after measuring. Stores don’t carry very many options for crib sets, so if you’re anything like me you’ll end up on Etsy asking someone if they can custom make a crib set and changing table pad cover to fit a mini crib and changing table. Many people will, by the way. It can be frustrating sometimes finding something to fit as they aren’t as popular as standard size cribs and changing tables, but I still love mine and wouldn’t get anything bigger personally. But on a side note as well, if you have bigger children, the standard size is probably more ideal if you plan on using it for awhile. My children will stay pretty small as we aren’t big people and neither are most of the rest of the family. My daughter has always been smaller than most kids and always fits into stuff longer. So that’s also something to think about. I hope this helps! 😊

Sorry I’m so late to responding but thanks ladies for all of you input! I’m still TTC but Mini crib is definitely my option for crib furniture:)

well I got a mini crib with my first child and by the time I child was pulling themselves up I had to buy a different one because she ended up falling out of it and hitting her head and I had to rush her to the hospital so they're good for for compact sizes but really not good for an infant cuz that's a falling hazard
