A certain family member is telling me that my child is "chubby" and "big". its getting me really down. Especially as my daughter has dropped off her growth chart and has gone from 11.4kg to 10.9kg since August

she's perfect. My 19 month old weighs 28 lbs and is 33 in. long... If her Dr isn't concerned, then don't sweat other mean people... Here's a pic of my munchkin

That's ridiculous. She looks perfect. She's a baby. Baby chubs are normal and healthy, and yours barely even has baby chubs. Interestingly, I never got comments about my sons, but did about my daughter who was even less 'chubby' than my 2 boys, I nipped that straight in the bud and said very forcefully "her doctor said her weight is right on target, and I think she's gorgeous exactly the way she is". With the low body images of little girls especially these days, I will not allow anyone to criticize the way she looks without hearing it from me (and I'm not a confrontational person, but I draw the line there)

Please....my oldest son was off every chart to man. He weighed 9.lb 5 oz when he was born. Now 20, He’s the skinniest in the family 6”4 and weight 150.

My daughter weighs more lol she's also thinning out a little as well. Her doctor always comments on how she must be a great eater but never mentions any concerns. My daughter is on the taller side as well. People shouldn't comment on the health of a child if they aren't educated in it. Let the doctor tell you something is wrong.

She’s def a little bigger but not abnormally so! I’d be more concerned about why she’s losing weight! Is the dr concerned about that at all? She looks totally normal to me!

I wouldn’t stress about it ...  i hear my son is too small all the time ... as long as his pediatrician is not concerned neither am I .. You have enough to worry about !! Just say ok when they talk about it and keep it moving ...

My son is 19 months old & weighs 32lbs! He has always been off the charts weighing 9lbs 10oz a birth. As long as your doctors are not concerned then don’t get yourself worked up!
