Overinvolved and overtexting MIL

I have a MIL who, like many out there, means well but drives me crazy.

She texts my husband and me constantly, morning until night. I’ve stopped responding right away, and sometimes don’t respond at all, but it doesn’t seem to discourage her, and my husband is always responsive to her.

I’m grateful for her because she watches our baby twice a week so that I could go back to work, but now she’s super involved and obsessive about the baby, who she calls “our baby.”

I live in the same city as my husband’s family while mine live a few states away. This weekend I’m visiting my family with the baby (and without the husband) and she’s constantly texting me to see how it’s going. It doesn’t help that any photo of the baby that I send to my husband while I’m here gets forwarded on to her, which she then texts me about. I’ve asked my husband to stop “live streaming” our lives to his mother but he seems to think I’m being ridiculous and I can’t come up with a great argument as to why it bothers me - I just feel suffocated.

Am I being oversensitive? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?
