When to announce?

Hey y’all! So I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow, and I’m DYING to announce on social media and to friends and distant family! 
But my husband wants to wait closer to 12 weeks to announce, just to make sure everything is okay since this is our first baby. 
What do y’all think, and when are you announcing?! ❤️❤️

we announced at 9 weeks, for the sole reason of we we're excited but also if we were so unfortunate as to miscarry we would have the support and love of everyone around us. it's honestly personal preference, I was just so excited I had to tell, especially once we saw the baby and the strong heartbeat... very encouraging and made us so so happy! we knew the risk of announcing early but we would rather have support all the way through, be it a healthy Pregnancy or end in miscarriage, we both thought having a community of people around us either outcome would be best for us in our situation.

I’m announcing on social media on Valentine’s Day. I’ll be 11 weeks 5 days at that point. I’m due sept 1. I had a scan at 8+5, and we’ve already told immediate family.

I chose to do a St. Patrick’s Day announcement, I will be about 14 weeks. It’s all about what you want to do! Anything could happen at anytime.

I used to think I’d be the woman that could wait until 12wks LOL nope. We found out the week before Christmas so my parents and siblings got a Christmas announcement at 4wks. We told close friends only at 8wks simply because my I couldn’t hide my morning sickness from them anymore. We won’t do a big social media announcement until closer to when I’m actually due like 30wks. But really announce whenever you want and feel comfortable. Yes the risk of loss lowers after 12wks but the hard truth is that at no point is it eliminated. If that’s y’alls concern then just tell close friends and family for now and wait until you’re more comfortable for a big social media announcement. 
OR make a private event page or group on Facebook and only invite the friends and family you really want to know.

I’m only 8 weeks now and we probably won’t wait much longer to announce. My theory is, we wanted his baby, we prayed for this baby, and we’re gonna celebrate this baby right from the beginning!

We announced at 8 weeks and at the 11 week scan they said baby's heart stopped beating and only measured 8 weeks. This time around were waiting till 12-13 weeks just in case 😁
