Any ADVICE?

So I've been dealing with this guy for almost 6 months now. At the very beginning for the first 2 months or so we weren't as serious but now we are seriously inseparable. He literally tells me he loves me and that I'm seriously like his best friend . We do EVERYTHING like a couple ! I met his fam and he met mine as well . He messed up about a month ago because I caught him entertaining (talking) to some female. He's repeatedly said he was sorry and that he wants to be with me but has not yet made it official with me because he says he wants to continue getting to know ALL of me and wants to make sure his life is straight before he fully commits to me . So my whole thing is WHEN? Like I'm so invested in us but when is he going to commit ? I KNOW he loves me that's not a doubt but like I wanna know when we're going to be official . (Not to mention he's super close with my dad)
