how much is too much to spend on a stroller?

Question

I've been eyeing the uppababy and nuna strollers and recently found the nuna tavo travel system for $600. I LOVE the look and a travel system is a must.
I'm comparing it to the $370 chicco bravo trio travel system.
Anyone have any input? Whether you use one or have heard anything about either?
Also open to suggestions on what strollers you love if it's not one of these two. I feel like Im swimming in stroller reviews and it's so hard to decide!

Thanks for the advice everyone! Money isn't really an issue but daddy is very frugal and when I told him about the stroller cost he looked at me like I was crazy and is much more in favor of buying the chicco 😭. I have a feeling he's gonna use the extra money we save to buy me some jewelry for our anniversary anyway because that's the one thing he'll splurge on once in a while. So I can't be that upset! 😂
Thanks for all the advice! We are planning on having more kids and maybe we'll eventually buy the uppababy vista if we end up having them within two years of each other.

I was a full time nanny before I had my son and in both situations, I found a travel system was too cumbersome for just an infant. My suggestion (and this is just me) is to get a stroller base that connects to whatever car seat you’ve picked at first. For instance, I have a Graco car seat and so I bought the graco click connect stroller base (it’s the one that is literally just a basket with wheels and you attach the whole car seat to it). This is all you need in my opinion for the first 3-6 months. It’s lightweight and it’s pretty inexpensive (it’s $60 on amazon right now). Then once you’ve gotten used to lugging a baby around you’ll see the pros and cons of the other more expensive options depending on your needs. Like, if you’re a jogger, live in a city, need lots of storage space in the basket, need it to be smaller for your car...etc. That way, you can feel more confident dropping more money on the “Cadillac” model. That’s what we did and we ended up going with a Baby Jogger City Select. I know it’s more exciting to get everything right now so do what you want, I just think it’s easier to make that decision once the baby is here! Just my two cents! Good luck! 👍🏼

My sister had the Nuna Pipa car seats for her twins so when she gave me those I had to make sure I picked a stroller that worked well. I knew I wanted the Nuna Mixx or the UppaBaby and after watching a ton of videos (nerd alert) decided that the weight and ease of use with the Nuna Mixx was a winner for me. 
If you plan to have multiple kids in close succession I might look at the UppaBaby models more closely as they can accommodate a toddler and a car seat from my understanding.

I feel the car seat and stroller travel system is an investment because you will be using it for a while especially the stroller. I love Chicco and used it with my daughter however this time around I am leaning toward Doona or Uppababy. I suggest going to the store pushing them around if they have displays and getting a feel for what you like. Happy shopping!

Saw the update, just letting you know we loved them both! I had the chico bravo system at first and it worked like a charm (loved the extra big canopy of the bravo too). We’ve had it for two years now and it’s just starting to sound and ride a bit rickety (given it’s gone thru the ringer... we travel a lot so it’s been tossed about it quite a few airplanes!). I bought the UppaBaby Vista on Black Friday since we are expecting our next one. I am seriously in love with it and it was worth the wait. I still need to restrain my two year old at times so the double stroller is key at some point if you plan on having kids close-ish together. I still plan on using the bravo though when its just me and the May baby. :) I had the baby jogger City select first but hated it (lots of moms love it though so maybe I just had a faulty one). The Vista is well worth the money when you need it... if you ever want it in the future know they are 20% off on Black Friday... it’s one of the few sales they ever do!

I have the Nuna pipa for my car seat, it’s an amazing products that has passed many safety tests with flying colors. For the stroller, after reading a million reviews and taking in consideration where we live (in the mountains), we went with the BabyJogger CitySelect Lux. It was on the pricier side but it will be used daily and for a few years so I thought it was a good investment.

We got the Nuna Mixx2 and the Nuna Pipa. I absolutely love them! ❤️ they're so beautiful and well made. You truly get what you pay for. I figure the stroller will be used until she's ~4 years old so I might as well get one I love that is comfortable for her. Plus it's so well made I'll easily be able to use it when the next baby comes.

We spent 550$ for the brutal travel system with my first daughter. Now that we're having #2 we are using the britax car seat with the baby jogger double stroller. It's about 600$ with the attachment I need. I wish I puked have gotten one from the start that would turn into a double but it is what it is and I'm hoping I love it!

With my current kids, I’ve only used Graco or Baby Trend. Those gave me trouble so now that we are expecting number 4, I’ve been looking into other options. I’m loving the UppaBaby Vista and Bugaboo Cam. The Elle Baby line has some nice ones too. I’m still sorting through which ones will work best for us as we’re not sure if we’ll have another baby.
