Husband making me pick another labor coach...

Jacqueline

First time parents here.

Between Hospital Tours and Lamaze Classes our world is spinning.

I'm overwhelmed and so is my husband. Today he springs on me that he wants me to pick a second labor coach if I don't pick my mother inlaw coming in. Now I love my MIL, she a sweetie but so overwhelming! I can't, I just can't, nope, no way absolutely not! I will totally loose it.

I think part of it was cause of hospital policies allowing only 4 people in the birthing room with anytime visit, plus 2 grandparents bands for "sneak peek" plus normal visiting hours and unlimited visitors during visiting hours 2p-8p Unless it still flu season than it might be limited more. My husband wants his parents to be on the same floor all the time. (Hospital a whole 4 floors it not that big to wait down stairs IMO.)

I'm fairly private person, local friends are just friends no one I want to be in the room watching a baby come out of my Vageegee. 😱

Most of my family lives out of state, no mom. I have a few aunts and cousins I would consider. Some do live about 90 minutes away, not sure if I should ask or fly an aunt in who like a mom to me. She can't stay with me cause allergic to cats. I don't know how to ask or even how to get someone close enough. Is 90 minutes away too far?

My baby could arrive in a 4 week window so it's a lot to ask of someone.

I was totally fine with it being husband and me and a boat load of nurses. Any suggestions or advice? I love to hear something.
