Acceptable?

Question

Do you think it is "acceptable" for a family with one stay at home parent, and one "work parent" to get a little extra financial help?  I did WIC seperatly as it is more for the benefit  of children than to the adults in my opinion.  Any other- examples such as SNAP and any other financial or welfare benefits.  (SAHP= stay at home parent.)

For a lot of low income people, daycare would cost more than the parent would make. It’s actually saving money for one parent to stay home with the few other SAHPs I know.

get it while you can. we have 2 incomes and work hard. it's difficult at times to make ends meet. we make too much money for aid but sometimes my grocery budget is small to pay other bills. yet my neighbor who is a known drug user and has been arrested for prostitution and has 5 kids ages 12 and less by different men gets not only food benefits but free healthcare and social security for her alleged mental illness. no judgement here but it is disheartening that adults who work hard and pay taxes fall on hard times and are snubbed.

Eh it depends some people have no choice but to stay home but others have that choice
