2nd baby?

Question

Those of you having your second, particularly if your first is younger (my daughter is 27months) - what did you tell them when it was time to go to the hospital for labor and delivery?

My son is 27 months! We've been explaining to him throughout the pregnancy that there's a baby growing in mommy's tummy and that it will be here soon, and we've shown him the bassinet and the car seat so he talks about how "the baby will sleep here!". We told him that he'll get to have a special sleepover with Grandma when the baby comes, but we don't know when that will be, because the baby likes to surprise us. 😉

I would just make it fun for younger kids “it’s time for mommy to bring your sister/brother out”

My daughter is only 13 months old, my whole pregnancy we were telling her she was going to have a sissy soon,( she would always kiss, hug and rub my belly whenever someone asked her where sissy was) the morning i was being induced she stayed with my mother in law and we told her she would see sissy soon,
I think thats the best we could of done with a 13month old 😅
She half understood what was happening
