I've done it with my fiance. lay down a towel, if not trying to get pregnant at any point obviously use a condom. after sex I'd suggest peeing and obviously putting a pad on or tampon back in and make sure he is able to wipe of blood if y'all don't use a condom. it feels good and helps relieve period cramps

the only thing about period sex is it's messy espically If you're bleeding heavily but it feels better everything is sensitive the blood acts like a lubicant and so everything moves smoother. if you're man's okay with a little blood then go for it just make sure to put a towel under you lol and I'd he's not to excited to do it bare dick then have him use a condom

It depends on your flow. When I was on my second day, we tried and it was just too wet and no friction. Recently, we tried on my fourth day and it was pretty good. 
Just put down a towel and have some wipes next to you. Using a condom helps for easier clean up
