Going to labor and delivery for hemorrhoids

Ughhhh Sunday my hemorrhoids started acting up. By Monday 2 of the 4 were thrombosed. I called the doctor today and they want me to come to labor and delivery to be evaluated. I hope if they cut the clots out I'm numb and the clots do not return. The last time I had them cut they didn't numb me and the clots came back full force!
