i can't believe how many woman on her put there husband before there child/ren like I'm so mind blow!! your S/O can fend for themselves a child can't!!!

Your marriage should always come first. Nurturing that will cascade down to every other role you have in life. I love my daughter with everything in me but I know that for us to be the best parents and role models for her, we need to constantly be pouring into our relationship for the sake of the entire family. Sometimes it’s difficult with how crazy life is with kids but it’s still SO important to make your husband feel important and to continue putting your relationship up in your highest priorities!

I feel like I need to elaborate here. Putting your husband first does NOT MEAN YOU NEGLECT YOUR CHILDREN. I 100% put my husband first, but my daughter is always well fed, happy, and loved and deeply cared for. 
1. My daughter needs to see how marriage works. She needs to witness the ways her daddy and I serve and love each other. A strong marriage is the healthiest thing we can give her as she grows and will eventually seek out what has been set before her. 
2. My daughter will not grow up believing she’s the center of the universe and that my husband and I will drop everything, all the time, to give her exactly what she wants. I love her with my entire heart, but she is not my sole reason for living. 
3. So how does this look practically? This means I’m ok with telling my daughter “no” or “please wait a minute” while my husband and I finish tending to each others needs (be it a task, conversation, etc). This means going on dates. This means making sure we are satisfied in all areas of our marriage. This means paying attention to what’s important to and/or makes the other person happy and then making it known to your children why you’re making daddy’s lunch or why daddy can’t play right now because he’s cleaning the kitchen for mommy, or however that looks in your specific marriage. 
I’ve dedicated my life to my husband. And becoming parents is a huge joy for us. But that doesn’t mean we stop growing and nurturing our relationship. I hope to be 30x stronger as a couple when we’re 50 - and not to grow apart because we spent 20 years focusing solely on our children and not on each other.

All about my babies first! I also don’t get the logic of putting your spouse first, you had kids to raise and take care of them so they should be number 1. A partner can come and go but a child is for life.

My husband's wants come before my children's wants. My children's needs come before my husband's needs. To have a strong and healthy family dynamic you have to have happy parents. It's easy to put children's wants before your partners, but children typically have more wants and selfish wants so your spouse would very rarely feel loved if that was the case. You will have an unhappy family if you always put your children before your SO. Your children can see and sense unhappiness and will become unhappy themselves.

I learned in my pre-marital classes that you should put your relationship with your husband before your kids, within reason. A strong foundation with your spouse helps you be a better parent. I don’t mean neglect your kids for a night on the town, but constantly working on your relationship with your husband allows you to be a united front when parenting. If anything, my relationship has gotten better since we became parents last year. ❤️ Seeing him parent our little girl makes me fall in love with him all over again.

My childrens needs will always come before my husbands wants. I will never neglect my husband while putting my children first, but our children will always come first in my household.
