Boy or girl?

Question

When I was younger I would hear people say that if the baby bump was low ; it was a boy. If it’s high ; it was a girl. 
Did I remember it correctly? Or is it the other way around ?

My boy bump was high, my girl bump is now low, so it doesn’t hold true for me.

It's not necessarily correct... With my 3rd it was a girl and I carried low. It has to do with your abdominal muscle tone.

my first two...one i carried high, the other i carried low.  both were boys.  this one is low and its a boy.

I carried low and it was a boy. My son was transverse the entire pregnancy until 27 weeks then flipped upside down into position and then I carried even lower and got stretch marks under my belly. I think it varies on how your baby is positioned.
