How’d you pick your baby name?

Love to hear some stories, for our first me and my hubby picked out a name each and couldn’t decide. we literally flipped a coin and made the name that didn’t win the middle name :) 
For our second we picked a name we both liked and had family members vote at the baby shower 
(I got the names I picked both times, poor guy)

For our boy, Hudson was the only one we both really liked—kind of double meaning because we like outdoorsy names (Hudson River) and my husband really likes old cars and likes the link to the Hudson Hornet. His name was picked not long after our anatomy scan but not set in stone until his birth. 
I’m 38 weeks with a girl and we still haven’t decided on a name. We have a list but are waiting until she’s here to decide.

I’m all about the meaning. For a boy we picked Asher because it means blessed. Middle name Thomas for my father in law. Hazel for a girl because that was my grandmothers name that is no longer with us.

We originally picked Mischa for my girl, until i realised i much prefer it to be my dogs name (my bad) my due date was boxing day (dec 26th) and got really struck on Hollie. It is December birth flower and obviously fitting for her time of birth near christmas (..so i thought!) Her middle name is Angel.👼.. In the end she was born two weeks late in January 😂 but we both still loved the name and nothing could suit her better 😘... PS we ended up getting a dog called Mischa 🙄🙄😂😂

Ours was about initials. My husbands family the first boy is always CJS and I really like that tradition BUT I wanted to keep the middle name as my grandmother and myself have the same middle name so wanted to carry it to our girl of STS. So we decided on Charlie for boy and Scarlett for girl. We find out in a month what we will be having 😬

It just came to me. We were driving down the road (before we knew I was pregnant) and all of a sudden I said "babe I know our daughters name!" And sure enough we're having a girl.

My husband has picked all 3 of our kids names :(  our first I wanted to name delanie but he wanted just lanie so we went with that. Our second he only liked Camden so I agreed to it. And this time around the only named he liked was carter, I didn’t care for it at first but it has grown on me and I agreed to it because it was my great great grandparents last name and we are using my grandpas name as his middle name
