Super heavy period after implanon removal - did anyone else experience this?

So yesterday I started my period. I got my implanon removed at the beginning of Feb because it was the worst decision of my life; I was bleeding constantly, everything was irregular, it would start and stop then start again and go for a month etc etc but it was never crazy heavy, and even before implanon it was never crazy heavy but now today I've found that my period is CRAZY heavy, this is the first one I've had after having it removed, I'm talking going through a tampon every hour. I'm not at work today because of it, my work is not equipped to handle periods, there is 1 toilet and the sink is outside the bathroom, and it's just very inconvenient. I'm concerned this crazy heavy flow will be the norm from now, so, ladies who have had implanon/nexplanon, did you experience crazy heavy periods after you had the rod removed? If so, has it been like that since or has it settled down? Did you find it interfered with your day to day life?
