Took a test 8dpo is that too early?!

Question

I’m not due for another 7 days, ugh but I couldn’t resist & I took a test this morning 8dpo and it was negative but I’m really hopeful that I am pregnant. Is it just too soon? Should I wait a couple more days and test again?! Has anyone got a negative then retested days later with a positive?

I usually get my bpf at 8 dpo, and when I did it was VERY faint. But 8 dpo is pretty early!!

Thanks ladies! I think I ovulated on Wednesday or Thursday according to my clear blue ovulation kit, I peaked on Wednesday the 7th! So maybe it just is too early! I got pregnant on our first try the last time back in August but it ended in identical twins miscarriage. Nothing that him or I did just so common in identical twins. So hoping for a positive line come Sunday!
