How to know when milk duct is unclogged?

Is the feeling instant or gradual? Ive been massaging, pumping and offering the baby the infected boob first. Any other tips?

Take ibuprofen 30 mins prior to a hot shower. Put shower on massage setting and draw the water downwards over your breasts towards the nipple. Feed baby/pump immediately after you step out of the shower

I’ve had a clogged duct once a month or so for the last 3 months & it’s been more instant relief. The rock hard-ness goes away & it’s not painful to the touch. The only thing that helps me is to soak in a HOT bath and then feed baby while massaging the area: the hot towel & pumping doesn’t help for me :/

I've had dozens of clogs (ugh) and it's usually been sudden (like I feel a small pop and then milk sprays everywhere) but sometimes it has been gradual, especially when the clog wasn't too bad.

Mine was instant. Hot shower, hot rag, and dangle nursing helped the most - took 9 hrs to unclog and I pumped 4 times during that and nursed 3, nursing finally got it 😭😭😭

it was gradual for me. keep doing what you're doing. if you have a heat wheat pack, use it! it was a God send for me! it took 2 days for the milk duct to clear up though. 😅
