Just had awful news at my follow up appointment
I've been TTC over 8 years. Had blocked tubes and a very low egg count. So in November I had a laparoscopy (one of many) my tubes were unblocked & my surgeon basically gave me the all clear.
This was absolutely amazing news for us after having blocked tubes and bad news for years. Today I went for my follow up appointment & they said I'm sorry but we have some bad news 😪 My endometrium is 60-70% scarred, his analogy was like a football pitch with lots of muddy patches. So basically there's a low number of healthy areas for the embryo to implant. This was news to me?! They didn't tell us after the Lap and I went on my merry way & been TTC for the last 3 months thinking everything is ok. But that's not the worst of it...They told us that this is the reason the 3 IVF procedures haven't worked! We have spent in excess of £16k on IVF. I feel robbed. I've had 5 or 6 Laparoscopy's, why didn't they think to tell us this before? Surely my results would have been known to the IVF clinic when they asked for all my medical history? I'm so upset, one minute it's my tubes, the next it's this. He said it very rare that the endometrium will grow back & it's basically pot luck where the embryo lands to implant.
Why can't it just be simple. I've tried everything for 8 stupid years & I don't think I can take much more heartache. Talk about kicking me when I'm down 😭 we have one more IVF that's on hold that we've paid for, it's not going to work & I can't get a refund. Please tell me someone has BFP stories with scarred endometriums? I've taken the rest of the day off, i just feel like a complete failure 😪
