So I’ve been trying for 8 months to get pregnant, I already have 3 children all delivered by cesarean section. First was emergency and the rest were planned. Well 8 months and no luck conceiving I went to my OBGYN to seek some answers. Well today he gave me a pap and said he won’t give me a infertility work up because I’ve had 3 children so I’m not “infertile” and to think really hard because I could have another baby but there is many risks, and if I really want to get pregnant he won’t give me a fertility work up for another year. Feeling kind of crushed. I’m getting remarried and also my mother doesn’t have long to live, so I wanted to have a baby before she passed. The doctor had said “could you have a 4th c section and everything be perfectly fine? Absolutely. But I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t warn you of the risks and I don’t think it would be good to help you get pregnant right now” I’m just confused..... I told him of all these problems I’ve been having like irregular periods, bleeding in between cycles, weight gain..... and he seemed to think it was normal. Just feeling brushed off by my doctor 😞
