My best friend (we will call them D) moved away to another state a few years ago for college. He comes home to visit a lot and we hang out when he comes, it’s about a 5-6 hour drive to where he is.

He snap chatted me a picture of him and his other friend (we will call them L) from our hometown and captioned it “the only friend from home that makes time to come see me”

I got really pissed off because 1: L isn’t in school and 2: has a job as a CNA literallyjust works.

Whereas I’m in school, going to 2 different campuses (one being an hour drive away), taking online classes, trying to get my fine arts degree and working only part time. Being an art student is expensive, and hard believe it or not. Especially while I have other core classes to focus on. It’s a lot. Where I work I make minimum wage,

It’s not the best job but they understand my crazy schedule.

So anyways I told all of the to my friend D, and they were just like “L is a CNA and makes time to drive here. You keep saying you will but you don’t”

I said “I told you over spring break I would drive up there once I’m back from my 3 day family trip.”

Then D was like “I don’t think I’ll be here for break. Yeah I won’t be here”

WHEN WE LITERALLY JUST LAST WEEK FIGURED OUT THEIR SB WAS A WEEK BEFORE MINE.

They got super mad and are now ignoring me.

I explained that i can’t really just skip like 3 days of class to drive 6 hours to see them, also my car has shitty gas mileage so it’d cost a lot, money I don’t have right now but wild have by break. I only work a max of like 16-20 hours a week because school comes first.

I don’t think I’m being a shitty friend but according to D I am. I don’t have the money, I cant just not go to classes. I told d that I would make time over break but they don’t care.

Am i wrong?
