Possible constipation?

My LO is constantly throwing really, really smelly and loud gas and seems very irritable after eating or me changing his diaper at times.
I breastfeed during the day and supplement with Gentlease Enfamil or Newborn Premium formula. His poops are spread out to every 3 days. His last one was on Valentine’s Day and it was very soft and could of been a blow out if I didn’t catch it before he finished (which resulted in him accidentally pooping on my hands while I was wiping lol)  
He’s approaching 1 month this Monday and I just don’t want him to be in pain if constipation is the case. Do these symptoms seem similar to some mamas with constipated LO’s? 
Should I change formula? Any suggestions?

We has similar issues with my LO. At 2 weeks we switched from Enfamil Newborn to Enfamil Gentlease because he was having a lot of issues with his tummy. Our mistake was the sudden switch skipping the 1/2 old 1/2 new formula mixture feeding.  Apparently there was a process to it. On week 3 we go to the Pediatrician because we saw very little improvement. She told us we were over feeding him, go figure. So we cut back from 4oz to 3oz and after every oz we burp him. She said it will take some time to see the improvement but to stick to it. It's been a week and he's doing a lot better. I also rub his tummy when I see him irritated.

My LO is 3 months and has been suffering with constipation for three weeks I went to the Drs and got her on some movicol paediatric (prescription). 
I knew she was constipated as she went from 1 poop a day to 1 in three days. But on the days she didn’t poop it wasn’t because she didn’t try bless her she was straining away but didn’t have any joy. She also gets fussy sometimes while drinking her milk as I guess it must be irritating her stomach. The amount she can drink at some feeds is also reduced. 
The Dr said all this was signs of constipation. I went back to the Drs today as she is no better and they said to stick with the medicine for another month! I hope it doesn’t take that long. 
My advice: if you have any doubts about constipation go to the Drs as watching my little one struggle is horrible. I wouldn’t change formula unless they tell you as this can cause constipation.

It just sounds like baby isn’t doing well with switching. Especially if you are supplementing with two different formulas. Thats a no-no in the formula world, their tummies need to get used to it. 
Constipated babies poop pellets, strain, and are miserable until they poop.

I guess it’s possible, so is reflux. Google symptoms. If your concerned call the nurse triage line for your pediatrician and run it by them. My son has reflux. We knew after a few days Home something was wrong.
