Cramps

First "period" on the pill and my cramps are killing me. I do tend to get cramps but they haven't been this bad in a while. I was looking into it and I read the only reason you should get bad cramps on the pill is if you miss one. which I haven't. The latest I was taking any pills all month was 45 mintues and that was my only late pill... anyone know why this is happening to me? Also I have 2 more classes and a lab... So any quick cramp help would be useful.
