I received oral herpes from a kiss my grandma gave me as a child when she was having an outbreak. Oral herpes is extremely common. I am married. I do not have genital herpes.

I have it , I had no clue I did until I did regular routine blood work etc and they told me I had herpes I cried so much and said why ? How ! But I guess it’s really common I’ve never had an outbreak at all that’s why i had no idea .

It amazes me that 92% said “No”, but its like 85% of adults that do, im happy to say iv been tested many times and do not have it. But it is very common for people to, and most dont even know 🤷🏼‍♀️ its not the end of the world certainly its a very common issue and people live just fine with it when properly cared for.

I got herpes as a kid when my stepdad kissed me. :( I do not have genital herpes. When I was stressed during college I had outbreaks & needed antivirals. I am able to manage my stress better now & rarely break out. If I do the over the counter meds  work just fine if I need them at all. I’ve been married 8 years.

My husband has it, and has had it since well before we met. He told me on our first date. Three years later, I still don’t have it (I’ve been tested several times), and I’m 19w pregnant.

I got hsv1 from giving my bf at the time head for the first time. He was also the first person I ever slept with. i had my first outbreak 3 weeks later. it was around my mouth up to the bottom of my nose and to my chin..being 17 and still in high school trying to hide that was horrible. I got an outbreak every 2 months after that until I was 20. i haven't had an outbreak in 5.5 years. My bf knows about it. He doesn't have it.

In an almost 3 year relationship, with a baby now on the way. I had my first outbreak 6 or 7 months into our relationship (you can have it for years without having an outbreak) and we weren’t sure who gave it to who. We don’t blame the other, we just deal with outbreaks when they happen. I did let my prior ex know, just in case though.

I have oral herpes. Partner knows and doesn’t care. I buy cold sore patches so I don’t spread it when I have an outbreak. I take daily valtrex as well since I’m at home with a toddler and newborn.

I don’t and have never had a cold sore, but a friend of mine has vaginal herpes and takes medicine during an outbreak to help heal faster and help not spread it.
