So ever since I was raped last year, I’ve been getting recurrent yeast infections after sex. Though the ones I get now aren’t nearly as uncomfortable as the first one I got(couldn’t sit still because of the itching), they’re still quite annoying and keep me “out of service” for a week or more. I was thinking about it today and it seems like I only get a yeast infection after sex if I received oral sex(though my rapist didn’t perform oral sex on me). I don’t know if that means anything. But it may explain why I don’t get a yeast infection every single time but I’m not sure. I have told doctors about how frequent I get yeast infections and how they only seem to occur after sex, but they just give me a diflucan and send me on my way. I have been tested for STIs(all negative) and the last time I checked my ph, it came back as normal. So I don’t know what else it could be. Help please😞
