Provera side effects?

Hi everyone! My doctor recently prescribed me provera and clomid however since my insurance didn’t cover the clomid she has placed me on provera to take for 2 weeks each month. Before I start taking it I was wondering if there are bad side effects and if it can make a person more emotional?? (I am on it for a hormone balancer to regulate my periods; I was on birth control before for over a year then I stopped taking it for over a year and then once I tried to get back on, it made me super sick)
