Prom dress shoes?

So I am very tall and my boyfriend is actually a bit shorter than me. I would rather not wear heels to the dance so could anyone recommend me a type of shoe or color to wear with my dress? Thanks in advanced ☺️

You could do any type of ballet flat. I'm always a fan of red shoes with black dresses, but any pop of color could be a fun alternative to black shoes. I've also seen a lot of jellies worn with prom dresses which I think is super cute! Otherwise a pair of dressier flat gladiator sandals would be comfortable and still go with your dress (which is super pretty by the way!)
