Is a baby/infant bathtub really necessary?!? FTM

I am going to be a stay at home mom and wouldn’t mind showering with my daughter or taking a bath together but when I’m a rush......just curious how necessary a bath tub is.

Honestly it’s helpful when they are small and have no neck muscles lol and it saves you water rather than filling up the entire tub my daughter is 10 months old and I still use her bathtub. She isn’t much of a shower fan yet lol

i held my newborn and showered woth him. at ten months he plays on the shower floor while I was myself and then him. i found it hard to get him properly clean in the tub because at some point he was always sitting in soapy water

We only used the baby tub for 2 weeks and then decided it was easier to just bathe with her, even at 2 weeks she had neck control tho and would try to roll out of the tub thing so it was a 2 person job trying to keep her from drowning herself lol.

I got one of those flower mats you can put in your sink for when they're small and my daughter loves it. it's soft and you can machine wash and machine dry it or hang dry it. I'll use it until she's big enough to go in the actual bath tub, didn't see a point in buying a baby bath
