feeling like a single mom?

Question

any moms that feel they’re a single mom even though their s/o is in the picture? 
Mine works Sunday- Thursday 7-4. He gets home around 5, plays with the baby for 20 minutes tops and leaves from 6-8:30 to play basketball. I can’t catch a break even when he’s home. I usually have to beg for a second to myself & even then he gives me hell. It’s always “I’m tired” “she doesn’t want me” “I have to get up early and she won’t go to sleep” and my absolute favorite “I don’t have boobs, you do so it’s easier” YOU DO KNOW SHE TAKES A BOTTLE TOO RIGHT?!?!!!!!!!? If he has her he gives her back the second she gets fussy or gets frustrated with her. Like dude she’s a fucking baby (6 months) wtf. Ugh! We were *joking* one day and I told him “I’m a full time mom, yea, and you’re a part time 2 second dad” and he laughed... like dude I might be laughing but I’m serious.

I’m going through this! I am actually staying at my parents for a few days until we get it figured out. As my mom always says.. HE MADE THE BABY TOO. & he is just as responsible for her care as you. Just because he works, doesn’t mean he gets to be lazy on his parenting duty!

Leave the house. when he gets home, hey gotta go get  groceries... Hey,  I have a nail appt, oh i gotta go to the store real quick.   and just leave...even if u go to  a store  and sit in the  car for an hour.

I totally get this feeling. My husband works night shift and even when he's home he's never had her overnight. I haven't slept through the night in over 6 months. He keeps her 1 day a week while I'm at work and acts like it's a huge deal. Last time I checked on my days I have her full time and as soon as I get home I have her, make dinner, clean up, take a shower (if I'm lucky), get her ready for bed and I'm with her all night. I love her more than anything and I'm so happy that have her so much but I would love to feel like I have a partner in parenting. I feel like we're a tag team at best and I'm definitely on the most.

Same. My hubby works 10am-12am(+overtime) so I never get a break. It sucks but I’m learning to get over it.

Omg yes, feeling this way. If i want to shower I have to take the baby with me, If i want to go out with my friends gotta take the baby. He works 5 days for 8 hours or 9. He gets up at 2am and gets home at 1pm. All he does is either play with her just a little and falls sleep he wakes up around 4-5pm and just to eat and shower obviously he goes to bed around 7-8pm. On his two days off I get no help at night. I have to wake up every two hours. Some days he goes to play basketball takes 5 hours while I can’t even go to the gym or out that long.

I feel like this when my husband is working. he's 10 hour days on third shift so he sees her from 10 am when he gets home until 11:30 am when he goes to sleep. She's in bed by 7 and he gets up at 8:30 to leave at 9:30. When he's working it's like he's just passing through. On his nights off He takes her all night, which isn't hard considering she's sleeping through now, and he takes mornings until I get up, so twice a week I get a few hours of extra sleep. So that's nice. He tries, but because of his schedule we never really see him and it's all me all the time

I so understand this. My fiancé gets up at 2:30 am to go to work and then gets off anytime from around 1:30-4 pm, depending on the amount of work he has that day. By the time he gets home, he eats and just lays in bed. And if he’s in a bad mood, I’m expected to just keep our son with me and get hell if I try to ask for just two minutes to myself. We moved back in with his mom until we can get a place of our own and it seems like she helps me, along with his step dad, more than he does. I’ve tried to talk to him before about it but he just seems to brush it off and act like it’s no big deal and like I’m not falling apart everyday. Our son averages about 11 hours of sleep at night and he acts why I’m still so tired all of the time. And in my head, I’m like, “Because that’s the only damn time I get to myself where I don’t have to worry about taking care of anyone else.” But I just tell him it’s because I can’t go to sleep early enough or that I’m constantly waking up through the night. And on his days off, god forbid I ask him to watch Oliver for a few hours so I can relax.  I can’t stand it but it feels like there’s nothing I can do about it.

similar here, he never changed 1 diaper or gave her a bath OR put her to sleep, he would play with her for bit and by playing is placing ner on a baby gym with piano and sitting next to it on his phone, while baby tags toys, I go “ you do know baby needs eye to eye contact and communication right?” He goes “are you jealous that she is nice and quiet around me?` This is when I feel I wanna throw a fucking chair into him.

I feel like I have become the nagging wife because of the exact same reason! I made my husband take our son to the basketball court with him 🤦🏽‍♀️ ... he didn’t stay long
