backstory: I was engaged for 5 years and our sex life was pretty none existent. in talking 10 minutes of sex every 2 or 3 months. I met someone else and we have become sexually active together. in the past week we have had sex 5 times. obviously way more active than I have ever been.

question 1: I currently have a UTI (I get them easily) and I read that too much sex or a lot of sex can cause this. is there anything I could do that could help prevent future uti's since we are so sexually active?

question 2: I started my period yesterday and it is so different than any other period. its barely there where as normally aunt flow comes in with a bang and stays that way. could this be because I have become a lot more sexually active than normal?
