So, my ex has always worked a weird schedule and is out of town for long periods of time. Typically weeks at a time. In the past I’ve always had my daughter a majority of the time...she’s 8, we split when she was 5 weeks. We don’t have a court order, we’ve just always been able to figure it out on our own. Well, about 6 months ago he took a job where he’s gone two weeks and home two weeks. Somehow, it slowly evolved so that he has her the entire two weeks he’s home. That’s too long for me to be away from her. I need to address this and break up the time a little bit but we have a very tumultuous relationship. Honestly, if I have to go to court I will but I’m trying to avoid it. Thoughts on our to make this change without making it get ugly? Thanks!!
