What week does third trimester start?

Seeing/hearing different weeks. Not that it makes a lot of difference, just wondering.

If you divide 40/3 that’s 13.3 weeks per trimester. 
So I go by:
1st tri - 0-13.3 weeks 
2nd tri- 13.3-26.6 weeks 
3rd tri- 26.6-40 weeks 
The beginning of the 27th week is definitely the 3rd trimester. I hate when soapy people say the 2nd trimester starts at 12 and ends at 28 weeks... Like how come the first and third trimesters would be only 12 weeks, but the 2nd trimester is SIXTEEN weeks long?? Haha. Just no.

My appointments switched to every 2 weeks at 27 so that's what I go by.

I’ve seen it be 26, 27, 28 on different apps but I went with 27 as that’s what my midwife used x

I got conflicting answers from different people and when I asked my midwife she said to measure trimesters by 12 week periods making the third trimester start at 24 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ to each their own though.
