Okay so, currently I have the implant I’m due to have my 2nd one finish in April and am looking to come away from the implant.

The full first implant and 2/3 of the second implant I had no periods at all (5 yrs) but the last year of the one I currently have seems to want to make up for lost time. Sometimes giving me 3 weeks of bleeding, sometimes 2 periods in a month or sometimes no period for a couple months.

I am sexually active with my boyfriend of almost 1 1/2 yrs. He’s very understanding and supportive and knows it’s not something I can control. It just humiliating if we try to do anything and I do bleed or I’m worried that it might happen - there are genuinely no warning signs and I couldn’t tell you what day in my cycle I am on.

I have been to the doctors and had numerous tests and there’s nothing wrong going on down there. “It’s just a side effect”

Apparently because I had 1 migraine with aura 7 years ago I am limited to progesterone only contraception.

Can you help a girl out with advice on the best contraception?!?!!

I struggle with weight and acne as it is... I don’t have time for more of that BS.
