My best friend and fiancé have never really gotten along. My fiancé doesn’t want him to attend the wedding. Now my friend texted me basically saying if he can’t attend our wedding he can’t be my friend any longer. My fiancé basically says he doesn’t want to get married if I invite my friend. I don’t know what to do, I love them both.

Background information: I’ve been friends with the guy 12 years, he is gay and has moved to another province. My fiancé and I have been together for 5.5 years. The reason my fiancé doesn’t want my friend to come is because early in the relationship I confided in my friend that my fiancé was physically abusive so my friend broke his glasses and his car mirror. My fiancé is no longer physically abusive but won’t forgive my friend.
