Do you think your dreams have meaning to them?

Last night I had a dream that I got shot by someone I love. This person just so happened to be my boyfriend and we haven’t been on good terms as of yesterday. I have many assumptions as to what that dream could have meant (obviously I don’t think he’d actually shoot me) and I’m curious to know how others feel about dreams and what they mean. Share your experiences.

Last week I dreamt that my mum had a Stroke and no one would help me call an ambulance and her face melted off. 
Last night I dreamt that my old work building was haunted and that the ghost was potentially a serial killer. 
So to put it simply:
I hope that dreams don’t have any fucking meaning because then reality is about to get a lot more fucking scary.

I study dream interpretation for funsies but I’m still kinda unsure whether or not I actually believe in it. 
I don’t think that dreams can predict the future or anything. I think that they are just based on your emotions and subconscious. 
So like with your dream about being shot, I might interpret that as maybe you feel like he has betrayed you in some way. Or maybe things are just rough and you feel hurt by his words or behavior. Or (maybe less specific to you, but still something I would consider), if a relationship has just ended or is near its end. 
But in the other hand I also believe that dreams can just be completely random and have no meaning or basis in real life. Like when I was little I had a dream that I was wandering around Willy Wonkas chocolate factory 😂 I don’t think that means anything at all.

I once dreamt Johnny depp was completely in love with me, he proposed and said he wanted my babies, we would have an amazing life etc but I turned him down for my husband. If this dream means anything it means I’m fucking stupid! I can’t believe I turned him down😱😂😂😂😂😂😂🙈. I then woke up like 😱😱😱 OMG quick, go back to sleep!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂. 
I’ve also dreamt I was in the walking dead. I don’t think dreams mean anything, I think it’s just your head sorting itself out and thinking about what’s gone on that day, what you’ve seen on tv etc 😕

Sometimes. There’s the whole ‘teeth falling out’ dream that means your anxious about something, that’s always been true for me.

Idk, but for 2 almost 3 months now, I have end of the world dreams. I’ve NEVER had such realistic dreams, I honestly thought I might be pregnant but I’m not.. i hope they mean nothing but its pretty scary

One time I had a dream that I walked into a car dealer and test drove every single car. The very next day I decided to enter one of those mall “win a car” things. I actually won and received a free car. And that’s a complete lie. I don’t think dreams really have meanings but I think what’s going on in your life can affect them. For example if I’m really anxious then I’ll start getting more flashbacks and nightmares (PTSD) but I don’t think there are symbols in dreams or that I can take something from the dream and make a prediction based off of it.

They might to an extent, but we shouldn’t jut believe that they are. One time I had a dream I had to turn a lever in order to keep a portal to hell closed.
