No AF - BFN

Has anyone missed a period and not been pregnant. Everything you read says that the first sign of pregnancy is a missed period. I’m 6 days late, all tests BFN!! My cervix is low and I have brown discharge when I wipe but no sign of AF. Any been in this situation before? What was your outcome?
