No dentist just yet. But definitely make sure you’re at least wiping her teeth and gums. We actually have that baby banana. It’s a teether/toothbrush. So I usually take that once a day (usually after dinner) and brush my sons teeth and gums and then he just chews on it. You can also simply use a wash cloth and just wipe the teeth and gums clean.

Pediatricians say to see a dentist at age 1, but I worked for a pediatric dentist until I became a SAHM and we always recommended 2.5-3. Kids don’t let you clean their teeth or really even look until that point. I would definitely go earlier if you had concerns but otherwise would wait. I would be brushing at least once a day, just with water is good enough but you can also use kids spry xylitol gel! It’s fluoride free and antibacterial. My daughter is 9 months and I put it on her teeth every night before bed. You leave it on don’t brush it off. It kills cavity causing bacteria.

Our dentist sees babies after the first teeth come out and before the first birthday. Not so much of an exam but mainly to educate parents on how to care for baby’s teeth and what to be aware of. And also to help get the child used to going, making dentist visits a fun experience. I would start by finding a dentist you want then asking when they recommend bringing baby in.

My pediatrician said to bring mine in before he gets teeth. I saw no point so now that he has his two bottom teeth I am going to schedule an appt.
