Thank You Cards

How many of you wrote thank you cards after the baby shower and mailed them? I’ve seen some people say they just thank guests as they are opening their gifts and I would like that to be enough but some of our family members are saying it’s rude to not send thank you cards. My Husbands family and my family are mostly all that’s invited to the shower and even then it’s only people we are close with and talk to regularly and a few friends however it’s around 120 people total. I think it would cost way too much to buy thank you cards and then stamps to mail them to every one especially since we’re having twins and need to save money
