would you go to a party one to two months after baby is born to meet the baby? i would call it a baby meet and greet?

I would send invites out for the weekend a month ahead of time. would that be weird? would you go to it? I don't want to go through all the effort if no one will show up. please tell me your thoughts?

I did it 2 weeks after birth (it doesn't have to be that soon) instead of a shower my first 2 kids. Honestly it was great. It focused on the baby and family, not just pampering me and opening presents. It also cut back on individual visitors. The only reason I didn't do it with my 3rd was I had a c section and pp preeclampsia so I physically couldn't manage it, but otherwise I would have done it again.  So I say go for it.

this is we're doing. we're calling it a look an love. a little more laid back than my baby shower was for my first kiddo.

I would go to one if invited, but I wouldn't have one myself because I think that's a good way to overwhelm a baby. I know most people have a different opinion about that though considering daycare is common. :)

its much better than what happened with my first kid! everyone came over the day after I came home. fried a bunch of chicken, made my house hot, and asked if I was sure I wasnt still pregnant because my belly was still so big. I Didnt invite any of them over. but I felt bad telling everyone to leave. luckily I'm not in that family anymore!

Baby’s immune system is still very fragile at that time and I personally would feel scared about all those people handling my baby and coughing and sneezing. I’m not a germophobe but with the flu and RSV, i wouldn’t risk it at one month. Two months is more like it. :)
