Baby girl lifts her legs up and then bangs them down on mattress in her sleep..?

It sounds weird but since she started to turn sides, she has also started this weird habit during her night sleeps... Does anybody have similar issue or any idea about it? The bangs are so loud, makes me worried that she is gonna hurt herself.

my little boy does this when he's awake.  doesn't seem to cause pain or do him any harm, I think it's just him finding his limbs. he's now stopped doing it so much and is now focused on lifting his legs up enough to stuff his toes in his mouth.

😂my son does this too! All night long and a lot of times will go right back to sleep, wakes me every time though! I thought he was just a little weirdo doing leg lifts in his sleep. Lol. Glad to know it’s not just him!

It may be a way of soothing then. she is trying to put herself back to sleep and I guess it works because she stops after a while and when I check again she is mostly asleep... Babies are weird🤔🙄

Mine started doing this right before he started to sit up on his own. It's like he was practicing in his sleep, and he would wake himself up quite often doing it.

my daughter does this when she wakes up. she just started this about a week and a half ago. she'll be 4 months on the 28th. I told my husband it must be her way of letting us know she's awake. she does this for a while and then she'll either start babbling or fussing. I don't remember our oldest doing this, but it's nice to know she's not the only one lol

My daughter does it, and it's like a signshe is waking up soon. I honestly hate it, because once she starts banging her feet down, I know she will inevitably wake up 😭😭 whether it's 7 am or 2 am... I think she wakes herself up doing it...

my son does this to and he wears leg braces so it makes a huge noise when he slams them down one night my husband jumped out of bed ready to protect
