I’m 19 and my boyfriend and roommate is 20. I’m unemployed right now and my boyfriend is unable to work due to his health. I want to propose but I have no money. A courthouse wedding is about $75, and I can wait to get married but I want to propose NOW. I don’t want to ask him to marry me without a ring. Suggestions or ideas?

I think you should focus on school or finding a job before getting married and getting your boyfriends health better. I understand wanting to get married but if neither of you have jobs, your focus should be on more important things right now. You should totally propose though, but just be engaged for a bit.

You can get a men's band for pretty cheap, just make sure he's okay with you proposing to him, most men wouldn't be.

I agree men's bands are pretty cheap, me and my husband both have them, mostly because I prefer them better which is why I have one.
we also got married when I was 19 and he was 22, now i'm 22 about to be 23 and he's 26
but we did a courthouse wedding and he 100% was not for me proposing to him haha

I got my husbands ring from walmart for 35$. Eventually I’ll upgrade it when we’re better off financially.
