How often should my thyroid be checked?

It hasn’t been checked since. I have been feeling kind of off lately (spaced out and blah). Not sure if it’s due to my thyroid or other factors in life.

My endocrinologist checks mine every 6 months when I’m not pregnant, and every 6 weeks when I am.

Are you diagnosed with thyroid disease? Is that why they’ve been checking? If so, once they have you leveled out with meds, they only check once a year, I think, just to make sure your dosage doesn’t need to be adjusted. And when you do get pregnant, they check every few months.
