std or just a uti?

my friend has regular unprotected sex with her boyfriend (who refuses to reveal who he’s slept with in the past) despite me continually telling her that’s a terrible idea. she now has a terrible burning when she pees and has to pee constantly and she says her vagina burns and itches. she doesn’t wanna tell her mom either. any idea what this could be?

It could be a UTi or it could be chlamydia, either way she should still see a doctor. If she’s not ready to tell her mom then she’s probably not ready to be having sex let alone unprotected sex

No matter how she feels about telling her mother, she made decisions and now she has to deal with them. She needs a doctor because either way, a doctor is the only one who can treat whatever she has. If she doesn't want to tell her mom, how is she going to handle telling her mom when she gets pregnant from unprotected sex? It's time for her to grow up and evaluate her decisions and this might be exactly what she needs to do that.

could be a UTI or an Std, she needs to go to the doctor! a UTI that isn't taken care of can lead to a kidney infection, and obviously an Std needs to be taken care of as well

Sounds more like a uti. 
If she knows he's clean, it doesn't really matter who he has slept with in the past. If she doesn't for sure know his results, she needs a full std panel.
