Braxton hicks

So I see everyone post about how Braxton Hicks are a tightening of their stomach but mine always feel like period cramps. Sometimes they are intense period cramps and I get pain in what I can only describe as my cervix? Is this Braxton Hicks? I’m bringing up the pain in my cervix to my doctor next Thursday but just wanted to know if this was normal too to keep me sane until then. I’ve already been to l&d; once and don’t wanna go back until it’s time lol
