Do you trust clear blue okp?

Question

Mine said high (flashing smiley)  2 days on the 4th and 5th . then solid smiley the 6th and 7th on Feb .  AF is,3 days late today but BFN on test everyday . I took Clomid 5-9 as,well . Im thinking either (1)  I olvulated later than opk says and not far along yet to produce hcg or (2) not pregnant and clomid delayed AF . Im normally 28 day cycle . today makes 31.  So is it possible to ovulate way later than opk said ? if i did ovulate on the day test said i would be 14,dpo with BFN everytime :(

Wow my question is nearly identical to you. I actually was testing using the clearblue advanced and two different kinds of cheap OPKs. The day I got the solid smiley is the day I got positive on the cheap OPKs. Today would be CD14 and still no AF. So maybe I ovulated later? After you get your positive should you still keep testing? Is it possible to get two positives...another later in your cycle?

with the opk i use the device freezes up on the non blinking smiley face ( peak phase) and warns you not to test again this cycle and that yes if you are to ovulate this cycle it would be 12-36 hrs from then.  im hoping clomid didnt mess wuth my AF and just making her late ;(  im hoping i just ovulated later than the opk said and im not as far as along as im thinking.

As I understand it, you will ovulate, if you are going to ovulate, 12-36 hours after the initial positive OPK. (I don’t know about blinking smileys - I just use regular old test strips that are either positive or negative). You can get a positive OPK and not ovulate at all. I did my first round of clomid this cycle and my OBGYN cautioned me that sometimes clomid can cause anovulatory cycles, especially in the first round. The best way to confirm ovulation actually occurred is with BBT.

I hated the clear blue ovulation tests, mine always went from a circle to a solid smiley every time, I never had a blinking one. I think that's what messed up my chances the last couple months. This month I used the first response ones, which I liked a lot and felt they were more accurate.
