Chore chart, do you agree?

My husband just made a chore chart for me. He’s been telling me that I need to clean up the house better and do more of his laundry. I’m a stay at home mom so I am home a lot but I just don’t feel like doing anything. He thought this might keep me on track.... what do you guys think?

Everyone is attacking the husband. I think if he took the time to make a chore chart - you must really be slacking. It’s one thing not to get stuff done because you’re too busy with the kids. However, you just don’t feel like it.

I think if the reason you aren’t getting much done around the house is because you just don’t feel like it, then he has a right to be a little frustrated

I would probably rip it up and throw it in the garbage if my husband did that. I stay at home too and I get as much done as I can with a toddler running around. I feel like that's really rude and disrespectful to treat you like you're a damn maid. His hands aren't broken, he lives there too. Just because you're home doesn't mean that he is exempt from doing ANYTHING around the house EVER. I would be so pissed off that I'd probably stop doing his laundry altogether for a minute just to prove a point. If my husband really needs me to do something that I haven't gotten a chance to get to yet, he just asks me nicely and I'm happy to make it a point to get it done. But be a dick about it and write a chart like I'm 9? I don't think so.

That’s the kind of thing I would do for myself and would have fun color coding etc. (a bit anal retentive)... but I would probably be pissed if hubby did it for me...
All that said, if you just don’t feel like helping around the house maybe the two of you need to talk about your roles in the relationship. Or if you just don’t have the desire to do normal activities, maybe it’s ppd and you need to reach out for help.

I have mixed feelings on this. 
Him giving you a chore chart was kind of a passive aggressive, shitty and smug way of getting his point across. He could have handled it in a more mature manner. 
But, if you guys agreed that he’d bring home the bacon so to speak, and you a stay at home mom... it’s kind of your job to do those things. What really threw me off was your comment “I’m home a lot but I just don’t feel like doing anything”. 
I admit I have my off days and my hubby doesn’t mind, but I know he’d be annoyed if I didn’t stay on top of the housework... and I wouldn’t blame him.

Hell no... I would be pissed. Yeah as a stay at home mom I know it's my job to do all that shit but if some days I slack off when my daughter is being a handful then he can shut his mouth cuz I'll do the shit later. Chore charts are for children and just seems like an asshole way of saying you need a do your shit.

I think they're good in a way. It makes you motivated to do it. But you are an adult so it's sounds a bit weird.

id just sit down and have a talk with him. then just pick one or two things each day to do for him. my special task my husband beggs me to do is mate up socks. i hate them
